Although I was born in the Catskill Mountains of New York and lived all over the east coast, I settled in the late 70s in Tulsa OK. I was brought up in a family that taught me the value of the natural world, taught me how to tame it by gardening and supported my love cheap oakleys of drawing and painting. I am now an oil painter whose work is both figurative and painterly in style. When I am not painting for myself I am demonstrating oil painting techniques to my adult students, walking in the woods, gardening in my own back yard or in our community garden, or getting the house set up for the next house concert. I work with the Tulsa Arts and Humanities Council as an artist in residence in the Arts in Healing Program in a local hospital. I have operated an online gallery for over 15 years.
